Hello and welcome to the Leather Waves virtual store. Many of you may know us from our well-known location in Malibu California where we have been doing business since 1975. For those of you who are new, we look forward to crafting a long and happy relationship. Many of our clientele has been with us for decades!

Jackie Robbins is our in-house designer and well known for her leather crafting expertise as well as her unique ability to custom fit and design per request to the specifications of her client. We welcome you to view our 5 decades of archival photographs on our website www.leatherwaves.com

This virtual store is our attempt to bring our much sought-after product to clients who cannot visit the studio in person. It is the most current and easy to use shopping platform for you, providing customer convenience.

All products are handmade in the Leather Waves Studio here in Malibu, by Jackie Robbins. The process will include custom fitting on garments. Jackie will take your measurements and specifications and develop a pattern that will then be made in to a muslin fitting. This fabric replication of the garment will be sent to you and you will try it on and consult with Jackie by your preferred method of communication to achieve your custom fit. After sending back the muslin to us we will further customize your pattern, for your perfect fit before we begin the process of cutting the skins and constructing your garment.

We shop for the best quality when purchasing the materials that will become your custom leather pieces, choosing from a wide selection of vendors worldwide. We have the utmost interest in creating a lasting product that will endure the test of time and your particular usage. These resources have been developed by our company over many years and produce excellent results.

We will give you many options when you make your purchase. You are invited to be a part of the entire process. If you do not see an option you desire that is offered, you may request others by letting us know what you would prefer.

We also offer products "as-is" and "one-of-kind". So do not hesitate to make your purchase when you find something on our product page, as it may be the only one!

We offer several different labels. Our premier Jackie Robbins Leather Waves black label for authentic, leathers, suedes and shearlings. In 2005 we added our “No-Animal” label for clients who want a choice. No-Animal production uses faux leather-like products such as faux leather, faux suede and faux furs. Our "no-animal" products will be marked as such on the product description page, but you may also request genuine leather products as "no-animal", as well as requesting "no-animal" products as genuine leather. Also we have a special “motorcycle” label we add by request.

We often sell our samples, as seen in our product photographs, at reduced prices, you will be alerted to this as an option on the product description page. If it fits, grab it, because "sample sale" is a one time offer. Most of our samples have been worn in photo-shoots; fashion shows or used in-shop and tried on by customers. Once in a while a "used" Leather Waves item comes up for sale at a much reduced price and it will be listed as such, our leather goods are so long lasting they often have a second life with clients who are interested in buying used. Look for the SAMPLE SALE option button on the product information page, when available, for information regarding sizes, measurements, flaws, imperfections, if used and the sale price.
